They were many speculations milling around maverick director’s Mani Ratnam magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. Latest buzz we hear is that Mani Ratnam is in plans of replacing Mahesh Babu with Ram Charan Teja.
This is really a shocking update but an official confirmation is awaited. If Ram Charan is selected he will work along with Ilayathalapathy Vijay in this film. Initially talks were held with Bollywood beauty Priyanka chopra but now she backed off and Mani is in hunt for a big star heroine for big budget film.
If this casting gets finalized, Ram Charan will be a grand launch pad for in Tamil and his dream of working in straight Tamil film will also be fulfilled. But as of now the film has been shelved as there are no producers or corporate houses coming forward to produce the film.
